Our Kindness Code

Introduction

Welcome to Goodjelly. Our website, newsletter, community platforms, social media, courses, and live sessions are designed to support thoughtful engagement with the posts, videos, and other materials shared by founder Christine Carron and the Goodjelly team.

Goodjelly centers on the sustainable creative productivity methodology that Christine has developed and refined over the past thirty years and now teaches worldwide. Our core values—Process, Power, Kindness, Impact, and Delight—guide everything we do. You can explore more about them on our Who We Are page.

We serve writers, artists, and all creative and cognitively diverse thinkers who are:

  • Committed to bringing their creative and artistic visions to life.
  • Focused on making a positive impact in the world.
  • Interested in experiencing greater ease, confidence, and delight in the process of making that impact.

Our mission is to ignite a revolution of creative confidence. Our vision is a world where every human being delights in their creative process.

We work toward that mission and vision through the framework of the Jam Method and all the tools in Goodjelly’s Jam Toolkit. All our spaces are designed to help individuals deepen their Jam practice through interactions grounded in intentionality and generosity. This ensures our community—at every level of engagement—is one filled with respect, agency, and uplift.

With these aims in mind, we ask that you follow our simple Kindness Code when you engage in our online communities.

Kindness Code

Our Kindness Code is rooted in the belief that community can strengthen awareness and learning in powerful ways—for you, for your peers, and for the community as a whole.

  • You. Compose your posts in a constructive and curious way—and in a way that maintains your agency. Ask for clarification when you need it in order to expand your learning and awareness. Sharing ahas and insights also deepens your learning and growth. We love seeing what puzzles you and what resonates with you.
  • Your Peers. When responding to others, let go of any notion that you need to “critique” them or their Jam practice shares. In Goodjelly land, we support one another’s growth by helping each person build awareness and agency around their Jam practice. One easy way to do that is to call attention to aspects of their post that resonate with you. This generous practice of “reflective attentioning” helps strengthen their agency over their creative work.
  • The Community. We welcome your ideas and suggestions—and we want everyone to benefit from them. Please don’t send unsolicited feedback via private message. Open questions and shared responses in the community space help ensure learning for all.

Our Kindness Code helps make our online spaces and resources safe, encouraging, and useful places to both visit and support you getting to where you want to go on your creative journey.

Thank you for engaging with your fellow creative adventurers—and with us—with this code as your guide.
